Spend time surrounded by the natural beauty of The Ridges. Stroll down the softly lit Hidden Brook Boardwalk and join us for holiday music, delicious cookies, warm cider and hot chocolate in the beautifully decorated Kaye Cabin.
In 1937, The Ridges Sanctuary became Wisconsin’s first land trust, preserving the Baileys Harbor Range Lights and now protecting over 1,700 acres of diverse ecosystems. This area features a ridge-swale complex with habitats ranging from open beaches to conifer forests, home to nearly 500 plant species,60 breeding bird species, and 12 threatened or endangered species, including the federally endangered Hine’s Emerald dragonfly. The Sanctuary offers 5 miles of hiking trails, accessible boardwalks, educational programs, and research initiatives. The Nature Center features an interpretive exhibit and Nature Store, with docent-led tours of the Baileys Harbor Range Lights from May to October.
